Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Surge in Thursday Trading

10:38 AM EDT, 09/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were surging Thursday morning, rising 1.54% to 2,971.27 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index. From North Asia, the gainers were led by education company 51Talk Online Education Group (COE) and mobile big data platform Aurora Mobile (JG), which climbed 18% and 5.7% respectively. They were followed by semiconductor companies Himax Technologies (HIMX) and Silicon Motion Technology (SIMO), which advanced 5.6% and 5.8% respectively. The decliners from North Asia were led by commercial real estate and digital tech firm Eason Technology (DXF) and diagnostic imaging centers company Concord Medical Services (CCM), which dropped 9.8% and 3.6% respectively. They were followed by video-sharing platform Bilibili (BILI) and automotive marketplace Token Cat (TC), which lost 2.8% and 3% respectively. From South Asia, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and computer hardware maker Canaan (CAN), which rose 5.3% and 4.8% respectively. They were followed by IT firms Sify Technologies (SIFY) and Wipro (WIT), which were up 2.6% and 0.9% respectively. The decliners from South Asia were tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which fell 2% each.
