08:38 AM EDT, 09/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Anfield Energy (AEC) said Tuesday that Colorado's mining regulator recommended approval of its reclamation permit application for the JD-8 uranium and vanadium mine in Montrose County. The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety determined the application meets state requirements, with a formal public hearing scheduled for Oct. 14-15, Anfield said. Anfield said it is targeting a restart of JD-8 by the end of Q2 2027, subject to board approval and operational readiness. The company added that it plans to use the mine to supply ore to its Shootaring Canyon Mill in Utah.
