Hydro One seeks Ontario regulator approval for CAD 1.3 billion North Shore Link transmission line

- Project targets a new connection from Mississagi TS near Wharncliffe to Third Line TS in Sault Ste. Marie.
- Investment sized at $ 1.3 billion; in-service date targeted for 2029.
- Plan includes upgrades at Mississagi TS, expansion at Algoma TS; Third Line TS upgrades to be managed by Hydro One Sault Ste. Marie.
- Nine First Nations may take up to a 50% equity stake in the transmission line component under the partnership model.
