The latest data disclosed by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) shows that, for the week ending September 8, 2026, net short positions in the Swiss franc reached 29,985 contracts, net short positions in the British pound stood at 58,835 contracts, net short positions in the euro were recorded at 42,616 contracts, while the Japanese yen held net long positions of 10,796 contracts. This positioning data reflects the latest weekly long and short preferences of international speculative funds in major non-US currency futures, and can usually serve as a reference indicator for observing short-term sentiment trends in the foreign exchange market.
