On Friday, September 11, during the late European trading session, ICE UK natural gas futures prices fell by 2.71%, closing at 199.520 pence/therm, with a cumulative weekly increase of 11.67%. This follows continuous gains from September 8 to 10. TTF benchmark Dutch natural gas futures fell simultaneously by 2.78% to 80.147 euros/MWh, with a weekly increase of 10.13%. ICE EU carbon emission allowance futures prices edged up by 0.06% to 85.33 euros/ton, with a weekly gain of 2.02%. Recent fluctuations in the European energy market are related to multiple factors such as geopolitical influences, seasonal demand expectations, and supply chain adjustments. Changes in natural gas prices will further impact industrial production costs, residential heating expenses, and the supply-demand relationship across related industrial chains in Europe.
