07:13 AM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with JPMorgan's response in the fourth paragraph) TPG (TPG) is exploring a sale of healthcare software company Lyric that could value the business at about $5 billion, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter. According to the sources, TPG is working with JPMorgan Chase (JPM) on the potential sale, although there is no guarantee that a deal will be reached. The report said Lyric generates about $250 million in annual EBITDA, which could support a valuation of about $5 billion at a 20-times multiple. Insurers including UnitedHealth (UNH), CVS (CVS) and Humana (HUM) use Lyric to identify and prevent inaccurate medical claims payments, it added. JPMorgan declined to comment, while TPG didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
